Father's Day

So today is the eighth of August (the eighth month of the year)... Did anyone notice something? Well, for those who are fluent to Mandarin then you may know that today is known as Father's Day. So, have a happy Father's Day everyone. -smiles-

Perfect in My Own Way

Perfect. Ideal. Role-model. There will be at least once in your lifetime that you feel inferior to another. Why? Most of us strive to better ourselves, to be closer to perfection. And each one of us have our own definition of being "perfect". Because of that, some people seem to be perfect (or near perfect) in the eyes of others. Truth to be told, we all have our faults. But because we have faults, we also have our strengths, so to speak. After all, life is all about balance. If there is light, then there is dark. One cannot exist without the other. If we have our strong points, then we must also have weak points. So, don't go underestimating yourself; play to your strengths and make up for your weaknesses.

We will never be the epitome of perfection, really; no matter how much we strive, we can never be "perfect". Why? Because there will always be something we would find unsatisfactory. Because as we progress through life, our image of perfection will continue to change and alter. And to me, it is the ambition, the drive to further ourselves that is truly important.

Hello to All

Hello! It's me, Angel. It's quite late for an intro but this is the first post that I've "spoken" to you readers. For those that have visited my blog before, I'm sure the first thing you've noticed would be how different the way the blog looks like. And for those who are new, well, just consider this the first actual blog post; the previous ones include my poems and snatches of stories in the making. But back to the readers who've been on this blog before. If it hadn't been for that cover picture, you would've thought that you've stumbled on an entirely different blog, right? -smirks-

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you readers that I'm going to blog properly, rather than just posting my poems, quick-writes, and such. Think of this post as a sign of the blog "turning a new leaf", so to speak. Though, I'm still going to post some poems among other things every once in a while, so no worries if you like reading them. So, hope you enjoy my blog!
