As you whisper them to your girlfriend's ear;
I can't help but feel-
So alone.
I stand in the background,
Watching your displays of affection to her.
I wonder why I keep-
Waiting for you.
I try to tell myself it will be a matter of time,
Before you realize your true love.
But I know deep down-
I am only a fool who is blinded by love.
I grasp onto the small sliver of hope,
That one day you'll acknowledge-
My feelings for you.
